Photographers are barred from taking pictures when the national anthem is being played during functions, says Culture, Arts and Heritage Minister Dr Rais Yatim.

Information Minister Zainuddin Maidin disagreed with Dr Rais’ suggestion, but instead felt that a special space should be allocated for photographers to take pictures when the national anthem is being played.

Zainuddin definitely agrees that movements could be distracting, but at the same time it was necessary for photographers to capture the right moments and to take the best shots. “Sometimes there is a need to capture the expressions of the leaders,” he added.

Laaa…..

I can only think of two possibilities here, either the relevant ministry is running out of real issues to talk about or uhh….ok make that just one possibility.
