Mukesh Ambani’s new home
Indian tycoon Mukesh Ambani, the wealthiest Indian and the world’s 14th richest man (now the richest man beating Gates and Buffet with personal fortune was put at nearly £31billion), is building a new home in Mumbai city.
Wait…I bet you could just imagine how the mansion would look like – a typical rich Indian mansion as shown on most sick-Bollywood movies with spiral stairs going upstairs in the middle of the house and countless enormous pillars just about at every corner of the house, but NO, this will not be that typical Bollywood kinda mansions. (I still don’t get what with the spiral stairs and rich Indians…nevermind..)
Whilst Bollywood may need to mock-up that kinda of layout for the actors and hundreds of back up dancers to stray indianly around singing and dancing up and down and around the pillars, Ambani’s mansion-in-the-making was reported to be 60 storeys tall, but will only have 27 floors to allow for super-high ceilings on the floors occupied only by himself, his mother, wife and their three children.
The mansion will have everything from a swimming pool to a personal car-servicing center for the family’s 168, yes that reads one hundred and sixty eight imported cars. This will also include a helipad, yes a helipad, health club, hanging gardens and six floors of car parking - exclusively for the family’s cars. One of the floors will have a mini theatre, which can seat 50, and will be used for recreational activities. A two-storied glass-front apartment will serve as guest rooms. Three floors will serve as terrace gardens with balconies. And the facility will be staffed, around the clock, with 600 employees.
The building is expected to be completed by September 2008.
