Here’s one that I just read. It’s about biking since I am now, well, pathetically into biking.

In Washington DC, there is this so called program to ease city transportation congestion. It is a self-service public bike rental program, SmartBike DC. Interesting, read here to know more.

No, this is not a picture of some sick cult or crap like that, it’s a picture of one big experiment conducted by a group of 1,500 Belgium student on dropping a mentos into a bottle of coke.

Yeah, you probably have heard of this shit about mixing mentos and coke. Anyway, it was done on a huge scale in an attempt to break the previous world record on so called Mentos fountain. Read here.

I have exactly a week from today before hitting the plane home, cannot wait. It has been the longest strenuous 50 days I’ve ever gone through in my entire life. I have done rotational work before, but my endurance back then was, I guess, ok, even without the luxury of Skpe, SMS and YM. But now, it is a bitch, I could barely hold myself, for some reasons…

Anyway, my youngest two precious have started their sekolah agama (missus had a hard time finding one with an English medium though), and by next week, the new term for proper school will start. The kids are counting days for dad to come home too!

My dear missus have drawn up a plan for my days home, I hope it’ll be all jalan-jalan-cari-makan kinda plan. Yup that’s exactly what I have in mind right at this moment. A ‘must’ place to go, would have to be that one restaurant in Danok.

Girls, go scrap those disgusting high-rise jeans that go all the way up to your chin when you wear them. Because, here comes ‘bikini Jeans’ gals. They go even lower than what we could see at Sungei Wang plaza.

The designer, one Sandra Tanimura from Brazil came up with this idea when her customers wanted very low trousers - but had difficulty keeping them up. She specialized in making low-rise trousers and yet the customers wanted them to get even lower. She said, “It was very difficult meeting these demands without the trousers falling down….I came up with the idea of using the bikini strings to let the trousers hang really low without falling.”

What can I say…….it is just one brilliant invention!

Russia claimed that the production of J11 jet fighters by China copy their Su-27SK. The new Shenyang J-11 is an advanced fighter, a Chinese redesigned of the Russia’s Su-27SK.

And Russia is pursuing legal proceedings to protect its intellectual property.

It was intended as a direct competitor for the new generation of American fighters (which emerged as the F-14 Tomcat, F-15 Eagle, F-16 Fighting Falcon, and F/A-18 Hornet), with long range, heavy armament, and very high agility. The Su-27 most often flies air superiority missions, but is able to perform almost all combat operations. Its closest American counterpart is the F-15 Eagle.

I have thought of buying a bicycle, for one, I was getting sick-tired of walking to and fro and didn’t feel like hopping in one of those sardine-packed buses, and two, my new office is now quite a distance from the gym that I normally walk to, and o well, a beautiful spring is here, what the heck.

So I went to a bikes shop yesterday and after much contemplation, finally got myself a brand new bike, YES!

Ok, here goes the part that I was so pathetically naïve about in all seriousness, until yesterday.

I thought a bicycle is a bicycle, but noooo….mountain bike is really something else.

The one that I bought is an All Terrain Bicycle, ok a new term that I just learned. It is for dirt rails and unpaved road with big momma-ass wide tires, fully knobby and snow studded for extra traction with full front suspension fork and rear suspension for shock absorption. Seriously, I didn’t really know all these shits.

The sales dude was passionately explaining to be on the frame geometry, the weight and the speeds (mine with 27 speeds, well, do I really need that many??). The dual suspension that he recommended to me is for comfort on rough terrain and it improves handling over shits that I might run over.

And the brakes, it has a disc brake, front and rear for a much better stopping power compare to the basikal posman rim brakes. The discs, similar to ones you’d see on motorbike are located at the center of the wheel and therefore remain drier and cleaner than wheel rims. The sales dude really made it as if the bike could go … like 120km/hour??

The pix shown here is not the one that I bought, oh boy, this beast here would drain you by around USD2,500, mine was just around 400 bucks.

So this morning, I was cycling to work, and whilst cycling, I just couldn’t get this Sudirman’s Orang-biasa-basikal-tua tune off my head…weird though, but the song really got me going…….

The internet at the new office hardly works, just pisses me off big time. Unbearably annoying as hell! And the IT dude who is supposed to work on this is hardly around.

The new office is a complete mess; I just don’t get it why at the first place we were asked to move without a day delay. None seems ready here, the wooden flooring seems unfinished (and unpolished), heater is all fucked-up, wirings and cables are snaking all over just waiting for someone (hopefully, nice sexy dressed chicks) to trip and fall any minute and to add to all these nuisances, bunch of contractors workers are still around grinding, drilling, hammering and fucking on something.

On another subject, my colleague good ol Larry, the guy who would stop at nothing when it comes to talking had a heart attack two days ago, not a mild one but a full blown heart attack. It happened over the weekend. I heard the sad news yesterday morning, and fuck, it shook the living shit outta me as he was ok just a day before.

He is in a hospital under intensive care, and the company will evacuate him on a chartered flight by today to Finland (he’s a Canadian, but Finland is considered to be the nearest country with presumably reliable medical centers to undergo a heart operation). Poor Larry, I hope he will do ok.
