Keputusan Pilihanraya Kecil Permatang Pauh

•August 25, 2008 • 2 Comments

I’ve been wondering why the ruling coalition BN is having a tough time trying to win the people heart in Permatang Pauh, whilst PR is raking mass fanatical devotees from all walks of life. BN has been with us for the past 50 years, just what makes their ass so much hated this time around.

Forget how rude and angkuh some of the fuckers in BN are or how most of their ludicrous statement insulting people intelligence, the very mention of their names alone make people wanna puke.

Seriously, I don’t think it is about personality of leaders, else personal attack will work pretty well. It is all about party agenda and policy that they are fighting on. It is about the bigger picture indeed.

PR has a much more sensible policy towards all Malaysian. So it sells rather easier than BN. May be..

Fact is, we people have to move on. Live our life the way nature is going to take us. We have to be sane and sensible; we cannot go against the innate evolution. If we do, we are either going to be ignored or not going to be favored. This isn’t a theory no more, it is proven - as we can see it happening now. At least that is what I see where life in our country is heading to.

So tomorrow, Permatang Pauh folks will tell us whether what was the right thing to do 50 years ago works 50 years later.

yea yea mommy balik..

Sweetie pie and my mom will be home later today. Text me last night right before she boarded. Thank God, everything went very well for them.

I am sure my younger two are really excited, especially my daughter who had been counting days. Though they are fine with their aunties and big sisters around, every now and then they cried before they went to bed.

Terima kasih to Kak Yan and Danny, and big kudos to big sis too for job well done…

And last night, I moved into my new apartment. I love the place. Unpacked my stuff and put them in places and watched TV till late.

Kelakar giler. Kisah seorang nelayan, from my bro.

It’s alarming to read all the recent news highlighted by the Mainstream Media on fucked-ups done by government officials in Selangor, Perak, Kelantan and Penang. Albeit, a standard “well memorized” remark by BN men that none of these series of ‘great discoveries’ bears any political motive, we are not that stupid to not understand that the real intent was to reflect how corrupt the PR men are.

Though, it’s good to hear that our relevant authority is cranking up busting the evils but we damn well know how politically-selective they are in their investigation. Whoever the mastermind of this investigation conspiracy should have realized the bigger picture he is painting to people. Coz, I believe to any ordinary people out here, the only conclusion that we can draw from this is that all politicians, given the trust and power, if investigated, are as corrupt, regardless from which political party they are from.

I mean, it doesn’t hit the target as plotted. Fact that the investigation is selective, it is fair for the people to stereotype just how crooked our politicians are. And it only reflect just how fail our PM is. With a country managed by a bunch of crooks, we are heading to nowhere.

No joke, I’m seriously into cooking..

My dear missus will be home in two days. Not that I get to see her when she comes home but like I said I really miss her when she is away.

Tomorrow, I will move into a new apartment, a lot nicer and closer to office too. The one that I am staying now is ok – it’s a studio apartment, spacious and quite cozy, I kinda like it. The only problem with it is the kitchen.

It’s a studio type, where the kitchen is made part of the living/TV area. Fine if you don’t cook. As I now have started to do some serious cooking (seriously, no joke), I asked for an apartment with a separate kitchen. At least, whenever I cook or fry something, the odor will not stay in the whole area. So they recommended me this new apartment, which happen to be nearer to my office.

In fact, the admin lady brought me to see several apartments yesterday, and without much contemplation, I made up my mind on this one. It is closer to office as I’m getting sick and tired of cycling every morning. It is not too big and yet, it meets my every expectation. And it comes with more English channel TV cable. A bless. And the office promised to fix an internet connection too!

I love Sunday

…just because it is the beginning of a new week..

My typical Sunday went by with browsing and watching TV all day, nothing unusual. In the morning, I went out doing my grocery, I did my laundry and that was about all. Pretty routine and bored as hell but I don’t mind. That’s my Sunday!

For my colleagues here, their Sunday is always a recovery day for them, sober and reviving themselves back to human. At least that’s what I’ve been hearing from them every Monday morning.

Whatever it is, it seems to me that our Sunday is going pretty much the same, week in and week out.

Every Saturday, right after work, we guys would normally get together somewhere over a drink or cuppa coffee. I’ve learned after months of being with the same crowd that the ‘get together’ will not just stop there but drags us from one place to another until the wee hours of the following morning. I once joined them, and seriously I didn’t really enjoy it, coz….it was all booze and booze and unlimited booze (and wild girls too! yes, they are pretty wild). So for the last couple of week, I left after sometime. They know me by now, they understand but that does not seem to budge them from trying to persuade me to join them every time though.

Anyway, this will be my fourth week here, another four to go..

Budak budak sekolah ni patut nya dudok diam and pi hafal buku tu. Apa nak berduyong duyong membantah sana sini. And today, yet another protest held by students.

A mere 10% quota for non bumi MALAYSIAN….so what. The eligibility should have been made based family income level at the first place!

I am sure had our MB suggested an allocation of 20% for international students, the whole high profile goon squads would’ve supported the move with craps like it’s a wise move and shit like that. But not to Non Bumi.

Come on, I personally don’t see the suggestion mooted by MB breaching any right of the Malay, after all, a 10% will not hurt your ‘special right” in any sense. The intent was noble as you can read anywhere in alternative media (not MSM though..). It is depressing to imagine some real bright non bumi students whose parents could not afford fees to send their kids to private colleges, incapable to pursue their education. That could include the muslim too. Be thoughtful and please think about it.

Extra extra….read all about it…these are the sizzling hot news of the day.

Well, we have Penamaan calon done today, unexpectedly it would be a four cornered fight, our charming Maya Karin tying a knot in Italy and one pathetic loser doing I don’t know what..

Malam Nisfu Syaaban

Missus is in Mekah now, she and my mom left Madinah yesterday. For some reasons, I miss her more and more. They will be spending the rest of the week in Mekah. Text me this morning reminding me to recite Suratul Yassin after Maghrib coz tonight is the night of Nisfu Syaaban. I will do that.

The kids are doing great back home too. Thanks a zillion to our cousins who are doing a great deal of favor spending their time to look after the kids. My other two daughters will also come home this weekend, and with that crowd, I am sure my younger two will have their time fully occupied.

The news I read yesterday on one maid who was believed to have beaten up her 78-year old woman employer has got me worried about my father. He is left with a maid, but not alone though, coz my sister moved there during my mom absence. But still, with my mom not being around, I had this awful thought all night last night about my father wellbeing.

Called my sis this morning, and thanks God, all are well taken care of. My sis moved there with her kids and looks after my father 24/7. Plus a remote operation from my other sis, renders me one heck of a relief.

This weekend my other two sis will also be around.
