Dig me a hole, for I have to take a crap…

It’s that rich dude again, this time he bought his wife a luxury jet with entertainment cabins, a sky bar and fancy showers for her 44th birthday.

The US60 million toy is custom-fitted with an office and a cabin with game consoles, music systems, satellite television, wireless communication and it also has a master bedroom, a bathroom with a range of showers and a bar with mood lighting.

All I could say, a good sum of money that could’ve been spent on other constructive ways have been foolishly thrown out in the name of ego. What she’ll do with the jet, beats me! As if she would take the jet daily…

I hope he knows that according to the WHO, an estimated 2.6 billion people do not have access to a proper toilet. That’s about one-third of global population having to fucking dig holes on soil every morning to take a crap! And interestingly, more than half that number lives in India or China, with India accounting for about 700 million people, experts say.

In recent World Toilet Summit (yes, there is such a summit if you don’t know) recently where bunch of health and sanitation experts from 40 countries attended, one of the agenda was to find ways to provide toilets for everyone and discuss other clean sanitation issues. UN is aiming to provide clean sanitation to all by 2015. Shitting like a cow in the open can contaminate water supplies and spread diseases such as diarrhoea, which kill thousands of people every year. A statement quoted Indian Rural Development Minister Raghuvansh Prasad who attended the summit as saying India had earmarked about USD$255 million on rural sanitation projects this year, and by 2012, India will be free of defecation in the open and will meet international commitments in this regard.

Only if that rich dude could just give the wife a fucking diamond the size of her big mama ass instead and toss the rest on this project, India could probably meet the target earlier.
