Vander Hoven – the Power of Allah
Vander Hoven, a psychologist from Netherlands, announced his new discovery about the effect of reading the Quran and repeating the word ALLAH both on patients and on normal persons. The Dutch professor confirms his discovery with studies and research applied on many patients over a period of three years.
Some of his patients were non-Muslims, others do not speak Arabic and were trained to pronounce the word “ALLAH” clearly; the result was great, particularly on those who suffer from dejection and tension.
Al Watan, a Saudi daily reported that the psychologist was quoted to say that Muslims who can read Arabic and who read the Quran regularly can protect themselves from psychological diseases. The psychologist explained how each letter in the word “ALLAH” affects healing of psychological diseases. He pointed out in his research that pronouncing the first letter in the word “ALLAH” which is the letter (A), released from the respiratory system, controls breathing. He added that pronouncing the velar consonant (L) in the Arabic way, with the tongue touching slightly the upper part of the jaw producing a short pause and then repeating the same pause constantly, relaxes the aspiration. Also, pronouncing the last letter which is the letter (H) makes a contact between the lungs and the heart and in turn this contact controls the heart beat.
What is exciting in the study is that this psychologist is a non-Muslim, but interested in Islamic sciences and searching for the secrets of the Holy Quran. Allah, The Great and Glorious, says, We will show them Our signs in the universe and in their own selves, until it becomes manifest to them that this (Quran) is the truth. (Holy Quran 42:53)

Brothers is it authentic have this psychologist publish any paper, unfortunately I tried to find but could not. I only find this article on Muslims website.
I and all Muslims believe I may happened Allah is almighty than this tiny miracle, but how you will prove this to a non Muslims can you give any authentic material to them to verify?

I agree with Abbas… I don’t find any sources but from islamic sources. this for all we know could have been fabricated but subhana’Allah I know that such thing is true but where is the real research. Van der hoven is a last name not a name!!!

i would like to bring your kind attention towards this topic which is displayed on your website and some other at least 700 websites. It mentions about a Dutch Psychologist Van Der Hoven doing a research on name of Allah.
Brothers we are all aware of Allah, the psychological effects this name have by our own personal practical experience. But why do we want to show the world this thing in a fake maner. I have done an extensive research and found that there is no professor by that name, at least not in psychological studies. the name of the research university is not mentioned. from which it seems to be that some one have simply created a story.
To prove Quran and words of Allah, we do not need fake stories. Quran and Allah are the truth and truth proves itself. It never needs fake supports.
the after effects of this fake story is that the non muslims around the world are raising fingers on this issue and saying that see Islam and muslims are now creating fake stories to prove their rightness.
Brother can we please stop this happening and remove this from our all the sites. this is my small effort. Please do remember me in your prayers. May Allah guide us all towards the right path. JazakAllah.

salam all. i stumbled on this articel after doing a search on the said psychologist after i received an email with more or less the same content.
well, this whole thing is just another example why muslims are dumb and seemingly doomed to be dumb for the next forseeable few cenutries.
for goodness sakes, see the message of the quran and get on with life without pedaling lies about God and trickining yourselves and others to confuse faith with this kind of rubbish.

A few questions to ask ourselves:
- Where was ‘his’ ‘discovery’ ‘announced’ ?
- Where was the ‘research’ done? Which University / Hospital?
- What does a psychologist have to do with lungs and heart [Clearly this hoaxer (if) doesn’t know what he wrote]
- The Muslims themselves are doing so much nonsense and terrorism (antonym of ‘peace’) in the name of Allah. Some may say that these Muslims are not sincerely doing it for the sake of Allah. Aight, then how will pronouncing ‘Allah’ by non Muslims have any effect?
When we say non Muslims, we have to make clear that they may be in the deepest of shirk (associating partners with Allah), may be into all sorts of haraam activities etc….
- I checked through and couldn’t find such a psychologist on the net (wikipedia also)– just that this particular article has been circulated into many of the sites & forums
- In Netherlands, the name Van Der Hoven is very common, its like the name ‘Muhammed’ – so imagine a mail which says: ‘Muhammed, a psychologist from India…….’ The 1st statement is fishy enough….
No doubt Islam is the truth and we have genuine ways to prove it, but we don’t need to desperately prove it… esp since when we don’t have a daleel (proof) of it.

If this is the kind of story (for that is what this is, a story) that is needed to strengthen faith then the foundations of faith are quite weak I’m afraid.

I received an email today on this research.. when you read at the bottom “If you love ALLAH and you are not ashamed of all the great things that he has done for you,then send this to everyone you know”, you know that someone is making money at the end of the chain ..So PLEASE STOP FORWARDING these islamic emails.Those people that create such emails know that one muslim will pass it without thinking twice about it and so creat a chain of emails.

Now to make good relation and a survey VAN DER HOVEN made a tricks.To gear up thier bussines with a muslim survey.
But who ever believe or not we do believe All allah with 100 names has powerfull significance that human being can hardly invent.
